Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Merel!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Merel counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Samuel Rodrigues has been cut.
Rodrigues clinches with his opponent.
Merel struggles to land a body shot inside as Rodrigues controls his hands.
Rodrigues jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Merel walks away with a smile on his face. Rodrigues gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rodrigues rushes Merel and presses him up against the cage.
Rodrigues tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Merel smiles and moves away.
Rodrigues wants to clinch but Merel slips to the side
and Merel counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rodrigues shoots and misses
and Merel counters with a nice uppercut.

Rodrigues takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Merel counters with a left to the body.

and Merel counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Rodrigues! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Merel!
