Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Toivonen (ranked 2 p4p, 13 weight class) and Dany Crosby (ranked 1 p4p, 3 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crosby slips under a jab.
Toivonen misses with a few strikes there.
Crosby cracks a nice hook into Toivonen's ribs.
Crosby cracks Toivonen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Pekka Toivonen has been cut.
Toivonen fails to land with a series of punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crosby rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Toivonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Toivonen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crosby crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Toivonen - the referee stops the clock and Crosby gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Toivonen. Crosby manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Toivonen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Crosby.
Toivonen throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Crosby's head.
Crosby throws a body punch but Toivonen moves out of range.

Crosby's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Toivonen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Crosby scrambles back to his feet.

Crosby is looking to clinch.
Crosby swings for the body but Toivonen moves out of range.
Toivonen looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Crosby tests Toivonen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Toivonen connects with a crisp jab.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Toivonen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Crosby throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Toivonen on the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Crosby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Toivonen manages to avoid it.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Toivonen might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
