Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dany Crosby (ranked 3 p4p, 16 weight class) and Pekka Toivonen (ranked 1 p4p, 3 weight class). Pekka Toivonen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pekka Toivonen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Crosby misses with an uppercut.
Toivonen misses with a hook
and Crosby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Pekka Toivonen has been cut.

and Toivonen counters with a big head kick but Crosby shrugs it off.
Crosby lands with a nice body punch.
Crosby misses the shot to the body.
Toivonen replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Crosby blocks it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Crosby shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Crosby rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Toivonen counters with a crisp one two that drops Crosby! Toivonen thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Crosby to his feet! Crosby is in big trouble!
Crosby fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Toivonen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice uppercut lands for Crosby. That snapped Toivonen's head back.
Dany Crosby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crosby does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Toivonen swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Crosby uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Crosby counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Toivonen's corner calls for a 1-2. Toivonen obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Crosby looks to score with a jab to the body but Toivonen is just out of range.
A little jabbing left from Toivonen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Crosby lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Toivonen circles away quickly and effectively.

and Toivonen counters with a nice low kick that buckles Crosby's knee momentarily.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Toivonen in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

and Crosby counters with a nice right hand that sends Toivonen toppling to the canvas! Toivonen scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Crosby finish him?!
