Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mantak Garuda (ranked 52 p4p, 56 weight class) and Badr Al Din (ranked 9 p4p, 10 weight class). Garuda's entrance music is Djiin Djiin. A fine choice. Al Din has chosen RUNNING BACK as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Badr Al Din!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Din displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Garuda throws out the jab.
Al Din takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Al Din now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Garuda cracks Al Din with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Badr Al Din has been cut.
Garuda has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Zoo in the buildup to the fight.

Garuda throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Al Din has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It looked like Garuda was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Al Din.

Garuda throws a looping overhand right but Al Din ducks down to avoid it.

Al Din pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Al Din throws a body punch but Garuda moves out of range.

Mantak Garuda's cut is getting worse.
Garuda throws a front kick aimed at Al Din's knee but Al Din avoids it well.
Garuda walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Al Din explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Both fighters circling a little - Garuda finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

No joy there for Al Din, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Al Din throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Al Din lands a nice looking kick to the body. Garuda takes a step back to recover.
Garuda takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Badr Al Din dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Al Din tests Garuda's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Al Din throws a low kick but Garuda avoids it.

and Al Din counters with a crisp one two that drops Garuda! Al Din thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Garuda to his feet! Garuda is in big trouble!

Oh Garuda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Garuda throws a hook but Al Din blocks it.
Garuda seems to have got his legs back now.
Garuda ducks into an uppercut from Al Din and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Badr Al Din thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
