The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veainu chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maluga can pounce on him.
Veainu drops his hands momentarily and Maluga takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Vunipola Veainu has been cut.
Veainu throws a lazy right hand but Maluga sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Maluga is looking to counter the offense by Veainu and move into the clinch.

Maluga looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

It looks like Kilo Maluga has been cut.
Maluga fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Veainu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
