The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motts digs a good body shot into Pearson's ribs.
Pearson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Motts showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pearson.

Motts forces Pearson back against the cage and clinches.
Pearson lands a nice knee to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Motts fails to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Motts misses with the head strike.
Pearson lands a body shot in the clinch.
Motts looks winded!

Pearson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pearson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Motts sprawling to the canvas! Motts rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pearson finish him?!

It looks like Gregory Motts has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Motts bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Pearson comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Motts falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Motts was out before he hit the floor!
