Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marvin Jackson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Scott!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a hook to the body. Scott takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Scott takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jackson cracks a nice hook into Scott's ribs.
Scott scores with a takedown into Jackson's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scott postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Scott, into his guard.
Scott is trying to keep Jackson in close.

Scott tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.
Scott utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Scott has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at CHECKMATE PRIME MMA . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Jackson stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Scott throws up his legs and catches Jackson in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Jackson tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Scott! That came out of nowhere!
