Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gorgon Patriot (ranked 386 p4p, 342 weight class) and Kai Kona (ranked 46 p4p, 42 weight class). Kona has chosen This Is War. Anti Nowhere League as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patriot takes one on the button.

It looks like Gorgon Patriot has been cut.

Kona jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Patriot walks away with a smile on his face. Kona gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kona throws out a leg kick but Patriot moves out of range and Kona only half commits.

Patriot stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kona.

A quick step to the side and Patriot tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kona has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Patriot lands with a straight right. Kona didn't see that one coming.

and Patriot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That was a close round but I would say that Gorgon Patriot will probably get the nod.
