Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ferreria (ranked 2768 p4p, 1214 weight class) and Sergey Telegin (ranked 335 p4p, 153 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Telegin lands a head shot.
We've been told by Ferreria's head coaches at The Abyss that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Telegin misses with a hook. Ferreria ducked under it nicely.
It looked like Ferreria wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Telegin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ferreria can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ferreria got a little sloppy there for a moment and Telegin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ferreria has managed to get both his arms back between Telegin's legs - danger averted.

Telegin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ferreria defends it easily.

Telegin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ferreria defends well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Telegin is on top in guard.

Ferreria has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Telegin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ferreria is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Telegin pulls down on the head and he's put Ferreria to sleep! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Sergey Telegin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
