Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scooter Bob (ranked 472 p4p, 629 weight class) and Anthony Merel (ranked 60 p4p, 83 weight class). Anthony Merel told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merel slips under a jab from Bob.
Bob keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Merel.
Merel punishes Bob's body with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Anthony Merel has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Merel is rocked!
Bob fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Merel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Merel is still on wobbly legs! Can Bob finish him?
Merel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bob.

Bob moves in close and cracks Merel with a massive right hand! Merel, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Bob!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Scooter Bob!
Scooter Bob decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
