PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kvame Zulu (ranked 154 p4p, 207 weight class) and Brutus Leagatius (ranked 28 p4p, 36 weight class). Zulu comes to the cage accompanied by Big Badaboom. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brutus Leagatius!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulu misses with an uppercut. Leagatius saw that one coming.
Zulu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leagatius misses the jab.
Zulu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Brutus Leagatius has been cut.
Leagatius slips a straight right by Zulu.
Zulu keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Zulu connects with an inside leg kick.
Leagatius drops his hands momentarily and Zulu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Leagatius steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zulu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leagatius cracks Zulu with an open hand slap.

It looks like Kvame Zulu has been cut.
Leagatius looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Zulu lands a big head kick that sends Leagatius tumbling to the mat! Zulu takes a step backwards and waves Leagatius back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Leagatius is rocked!
Zulu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zulu throws an overhand right that drops Leagatius like a sack of potatoes! Zulu dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

After winning the bout, Kvame Zulu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
