Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Buscemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arturo Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steve Buscemi!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buscemi lands a with a good body shot.
Ward tries to clinch but Buscemi moves out of range.
Buscemi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Buscemi seems to be looking for submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ward is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Buscemi pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Buscemi throws and elbow that misses. Ward uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Buscemi's guard. Nice move by Ward!

Buscemi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ward manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Buscemi has Ward in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buscemi is looking for a triangle here but Ward uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Arturo Ward will probably get the nod.

Buscemi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ward as he avoids it easily.

and Buscemi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ward won't be happy with that.
The ground and pound from Buscemi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Ward throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Buscemi tries to move to mount but Ward blocks the move with his legs.
Ward is trying to control Buscemi's posture but Buscemi avoids it.
The strikes coming from Buscemi are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Buscemi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ward is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ward drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ward jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close second round but I would say that Arturo Ward will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Ward working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Buscemi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Buscemi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Buscemi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ward knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Buscemi swings around for an armbar but Ward sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Buscemi's guard.
Buscemi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ward stacks Buscemi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ward!
Ward is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Buscemi looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ward gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Buscemi is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ward lets go of the hold and Buscemi can pop his arm back in it's socket.
