PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Prohor Georgiev (ranked 618 p4p, 983 weight class) and Crazy Horse (ranked 84 p4p, 131 weight class). Georgiev's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Oxxxymiron - City under the sole. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 2, fighting out of London, Prohor Georgiev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Crazy Horse!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Darius Henderson and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horse moves out of range as Georgiev strikes.
Horse works Georgiev's body with a nice hook.
Horse pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Georgiev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Horse.
Horse tests Georgiev's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Georgiev throws out a leg kick but Horse moves out of range and Georgiev only half commits.
Horse has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Georgiev moves out of range of the strikes.
Horse takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Georgiev throws a leg kick but Horse moved away.
And Horse tries to counter it with a takedown but Georgiev pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Horse swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Horse scores with a decent looking hook.
Georgiev defending well as Horse loads up on a big left hand.
Georgiev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Horse throws out the jab.

Georgiev closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Horse did well to prevent Georgiev getting side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Georgiev throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Horse is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Georgiev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Georgiev's back!
You can see the frustration on Georgiev's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Horse is looking for the choke from the back position but Georgiev is controlling his hands well.

Georgiev is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Horse gets his way!

What can Georgiev do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Georgiev looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Horse connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Georgiev to escape the position.

Georgiev throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Georgiev's guard.

Georgiev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Horse uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Georgiev.

Horse shoots in and bounces Georgiev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Horse throws a strike but Georgiev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Horse seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Georgiev throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Horse works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Crazy Horse.
Well Horse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
