Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niko Alzate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, New Breed One!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One throws a jab but it's blocked by Alzate.
Alzate lands with a straight right. One didn't see that one coming.
One fails with a takedown attempt.
Alzate swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Alzate throws an off balance right hand
and One counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
One is looking for a takedown.
One tries to score a body lock takedown but Alzate shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Niko Alzate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Breed One.
Alzate breaks the clinch.
Alzate scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alzate loads up on a big right hand but One slips the punch.
Alzate throws a left and a right that both miss
and One counters with a shoot takedown. Alzate fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alzate is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
One is in close to Alzate's body, working some short punches and elbows.

One is looking to pass into half guard but Alzate pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Alzate is in guard.
Alzate tries to free his leg and advance position but One is retaining full guard.
Alzate wants to control from the top but One keeps moving.
One looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Alzate passes into side control.
One tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alzate wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Alzate tries to stand but One is controlling his head.
One is trying to control Alzate's posture but Alzate avoids it.
Alzate takes a little break here. One wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

One can't do much from the bottom here.
One is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Alzate off and has taken his back!
Alzate covering up well under a series of strikes from One.
Alzate is really stuck here.

Even with his hooks in, One manages to miss with strikes from the back.
One wants to control but Alzate is keeping busy.

Alzate just trying to survive but One is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

One is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

One is hanging on to Alzate's back as he tries to escape.

Alzate wants to control his opponent's hands but One gets his hands free.
I really don't envy Alzate right now.
