The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Contreiras misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Zhdanov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Contreiras.
Zhdanov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Contreiras counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Roman Zhdanov has been cut.
Zhdanov lands a right hook to the body.
Zhdanov slips under a jab from Contreiras.
Contreiras swings widly with a right hand
and Zhdanov counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Victor Contreiras has been cut.
Zhdanov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Contreiras sprawling to the canvas! Contreiras rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Zhdanov finish him?!
Contreiras is rocked!

Zhdanov steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Contreiras is out on his feet! Zhdanov sets himself and nearly takes Contreiras's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Roman Zhdanov!
