Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raykuza Maui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregory Motts!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motts with a hook.
It looks like Raykuza Maui has been cut.
Maui misses the body punch
and Motts counters with a crisp one two that drops Maui! Motts thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Maui to his feet! Maui is in big trouble!
Maui takes a swing at Motts's ribcage but misses.
Some wild striking there from Maui.
Maui uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Motts lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Motts uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maui.
It seemed like Motts was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Maui swings for the body but Motts moves out of range.
Maui misses with a shot to the body
and Motts counters with a nice right hand that sends Maui toppling to the canvas! Maui scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Motts finish him?!
Maui is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maui throws a sloppy body shot
and Motts counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Maui badly! He tries to strike back but Motts puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Maui out cold! Oh man, Maui will never hear the end of this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gregory Motts!
A relieved looking Gregory Motts thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Raykuza Maui was interviewed post fight and said 'There's a reason this guy is undefeated. He's the best. '.
