Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio Duarte (ranked 1246 p4p, 1664 weight class) and Luka Marka (ranked 185 p4p, 246 weight class). Marka comes into a darkened arena with his song building. HADES kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luka Marka!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marka lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Marka goes for a double leg but Duarte avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Duarte continues to drive forward.
Duarte swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Duarte shoots for a double leg takedown but Marka sprawls well. He's pushed Duarte's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Luka Marka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
