Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geraint Jones (ranked 6295 p4p, 2684 weight class) and Antun Simunic (ranked 576 p4p, 324 weight class). Simunic has chosen Monster as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Geraint Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antun Simunic!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Simunic.
Simunic misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming.
Simunic throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it.
Simunic smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Simunic connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jones's hands.
Simunic scores with a shot to the body.
Simunic cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jones ducks right into an uppercut from Simunic.
Simunic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Simunic misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones throwing a counter right hand but Simunic manages to avoid it.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Simunic throws out the jab.
Jones tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Simunic manages to circle out of the way.
Jones throws a hook but Simunic blocks it.
Simunic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Simunic sends Jones crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Simunic is motioning to the referee to let Jones up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Simunic throws a body shot but no joy.
Simunic cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Simunic has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jones to stand back up!
Jones is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Simunic misses with a looping right.
Nice body punch from Simunic.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Simunic tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Simunic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Simunic lands a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Simunic looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Jones changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Simunic connects with a body shot.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Simunic sends Jones crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Simunic is motioning to the referee to let Jones up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Geraint Jones has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Simunic engages and cracks Jones with a massive lead left hook - Jones tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Simunic is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Antun Simunic!
