Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kay Bone (ranked 198 p4p, 360 weight class) and Techno Viking (ranked 29 p4p, 51 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kay Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Techno Viking!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Viking - that will leave a mark!
Bone missing with a left hand there. Viking was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bone throws a leg kick

and Viking counters with a nice right hand that sends Bone toppling to the canvas! Bone scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Viking finish him?!

It looks like Kay Bone has been cut.
Viking looks to land a right hand but Bone moved out of range.
Viking defending well as Bone loads up on a big left hand.
A little jabbing left from Viking on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kay Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bone misses with a wild body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Viking throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bone.
Bone scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bone throws a shot from downtown. Viking moves away and avoids it.
Bone tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Viking looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Good work by Viking as he checks the leg kick.

We've been told by Bone's head coaches at Heartless Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We've been informed that Viking has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Viking tries to land a front kick but Bone steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
It looked like Bone was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Viking.

Bone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Viking sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bone bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Viking's head backwards.

Bone throws out a loose jab but Viking uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bone lands a nice hook to Viking's body. Viking takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Viking.
Bone throws a looping overhand right but Viking ducks down to avoid it.
Viking throws out a counter right but Bone avoids it with no problem.

and Viking counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bone! Viking lets Bone back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Bone scores with a crisp jab that stopped Viking in his tracks.
Bone dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Viking. That did some damage!
Viking on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bone. Bone obviously looking to wear him down.
Bone is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Bone is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Bone darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Bone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Viking uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bone.
Viking is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bone with a body shot.

Bone moves into range and clinches up with Viking.
Bone swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bone is struggling to control the position.
Viking wants to break free but Bone has control.

Viking breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bone is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Bone throws an off balance right hand
and Bone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bone throws a big shot that misses.
Bone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bone looks to land a right hand but Viking moved out of range.
A nice side step and Viking releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
A swing and a miss from Bone.
A countering left hand to the body from Viking misses.
Bone tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Viking is able to avoid easily.
A little jabbing left from Viking on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A bone on bone clash there as Viking blocks the leg kick.
Viking is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Bone looks to land a left hand but Viking moved out of range nicely.

Bone fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kay Bone will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Viking throws out a loose jab but Bone uses good head movement to avoid it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Viking pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kay Bone is winning the standup battle so far.
Bone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A little jabbing left from Viking on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Viking throws a sloppy head kick and Bone moves out of range easily.

Bone has Viking up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Viking's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bone lands a leg kick that knocks Viking off balance momentarily.
Bone jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Viking takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bone misses with a looping right.
A low kick from Bone is predictable there
and Viking counters with a good, hard body kick but Bone shrugs it off.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bone misses with a double jab.
Viking looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Viking fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bone.

Bone throws a shot from downtown. Viking moves away and avoids it.

Viking sends Bone crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Viking is motioning to the referee to let Bone up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Bone is rocked!
Bone throws an off balance right hand
and Viking rattles Bone with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Bone tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Viking dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Bone stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Techno Viking!
During a confident post fight interview, Techno Viking thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
