Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jake Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Pull Plugger!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake slaps away a takedown attempt from Plugger, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Drake lands with a cross.
Drake's jab looks to have found its range, popping Plugger under the eye.

Drake gets a double leg takedown into Plugger's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Drake's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Drake distracts Plugger with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Plugger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drake doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Drake manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Plugger has his foot on Drake's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drake works his way back into a safe position though.

Drake connects with a couple of short punches.
Drake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Plugger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Drake lands a couple of digs.
Plugger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Drake slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Plugger is looking for a sweep.
Drake in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Drake is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Plugger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Plugger's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Drake working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Plugger wants to control but Drake postures up.

Plugger is trying to control Drake's posture but Drake avoids it.

Drake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Drake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Drake half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Drake uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Plugger.

Drake lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Drake slips a nice elbow through Plugger's hands, connecting with Plugger's forehead.

Drake is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Plugger is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jake Drake!
