Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raykuza Maui (ranked 1013 p4p, 2835 weight class) and Mitsugu Takeishi (ranked 29 p4p, 87 weight class). Takeishi has chosen Kabuki Gomen-Jyo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

and Takeishi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Maui thinking.

Maui seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Maui cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maui uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takeishi.
Maui was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Maui lands a big right hand that sends Takeishi crashing to the mat! Maui stays standing though and waves Takeishi back to his feet!

It looked like Maui was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Takeishi.
Takeishi is still on wobbly legs! Can Maui finish him?

Maui weaves into range and cracks Takeishi right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Takeishi goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Maui is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Raykuza Maui!
Raykuza Maui took to the mic in his post fight interview and said '17-1 BABY! I'M THE BEST!'.
