Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Reefer!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick from Reefer.
Reefer has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A big right from Reefer misses.
Reefer jabs Ellacuria to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Reefer throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A shot to the body from Ellacuria misses
enabling Reefer to counter with a crisp jab.
Ellacuria swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Reefer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Reefer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ellacuria on the side of the head.

Reefer moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
We've been told by Ellacuria's head coaches at Deathsquad that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Reefer lands a glancing blow to the side of Ellacuria's head.

Ellacuria throws a lazy uppercut
and Reefer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ellacuria looks to throw the jab but Reefer is out of range.

Reefer stuns Ellacuria with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Reefer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ellacuria.
Reefer appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Reefer.
Reefer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reefer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Jim Reefer has been cut.
Reefer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ellacuria.
Ellacuria has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Reefer finds it's way round the side to connect with Ellacuria's head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Reefer dominated that round.

That's time! Ellacuria's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ellacuria paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ellacuria misses with an uppercut.
Ellacuria takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Reefer lands the left hand.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Reefer in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Reefer is rocked!
Ellacuria lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Reefer up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Ellacuria from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Reefer's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
