Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrano Jackson (ranked 1527 p4p, 23870 weight class) and Micael Galvao (ranked 16 p4p, 145 weight class). Tyrano Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrano Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Micael Galvao ! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jackson controlling the action here. Jackson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Galvao is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Jackson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Galvao quickly recovers to half guard. Galvao is controlling Jackson's trapped leg to prevent Jackson from advancing to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Galvao for as long as he can get away with. We've been hearing good reports from Jackson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Galvao is retaining full guard. Jackson slips nicely into half guard. Galvao is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Galvao won't allow Jackson to pass to mount. Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Galvao is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold. Jackson tries to pass to full mount but Galvao defends it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jackson trying to control the pace. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson gets caught flat footed, as Galvao shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Galvao from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jackson pulls Galvao in close to his closed guard and prevents Galvao from doing any damage or advancing position. Jackson is looking to sweep but instead, Galvao has passed into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Galvao is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jackson moves into full guard.
Jackson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson wants to pass the guard but Galvao is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson controls from within his opponent's guard. Our spies down at at HELLCADEMY inform us that Galvao has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Jackson forces his way into half guard. Jackson prevents Galvao from improving his position. Tyrano Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Well, if Jackson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Galvao is trying to maintain the position but Jackson is very close to passing his half guard. Galvao is trying is best to control the position here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jackson controlling the action here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Jackson forces Galvao back against the cage and clinches.

Galvao has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jackson is trying to trip Galvao . He has hold of a leg but Galvao is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jackson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Galvao trying to control the position.

Jackson gets caught napping as Galvao dives in and scores a takedown. Jackson manages to retain guard. Galvao trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jackson has his hands on Galvao 's head, controlling the position. Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tyrano Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jackson is working hard here to advance position. Jackson is figuring out what he wants to do next. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Further stalling from Jackson.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jackson closes the distance and pushes Galvao back into the cage. Galvao tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Galvao misses with a hook from the clinch. Jackson jumps guard and drags Galvao to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jackson pulls Galvao in to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Galvao passes Jackson's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jackson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Galvao can do to turn this around? Jackson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jackson. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Jackson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Jackson is stinking the place up with his stalling. Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Galvao 's guard.

Galvao escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that's the end of the fight! Tyrano Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
