Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bardia Farrokhzad (ranked 877 p4p, 1644 weight class) and Claus Haba (ranked 50 p4p, 98 weight class). Farrokhzad comes to the cage accompanied by Iranian Baloch - This Is A Catch. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farrokhzad paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Farrokhzad stuffs the takedown attempt from Haba. Haba gets slowly back to his feet.
Farrokhzad throws a nice looking combination but Haba bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Farrokhzad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Haba.
Haba will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Haba on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Farrokhzad throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Haba changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Haba dives in and scores a takedown into Farrokhzad's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Farrokhzad is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Farrokhzad wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Farrokhzad has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Haba fails with a takedown attempt.
Bardia Farrokhzad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Claus Haba.

It looks like Claus Haba has been cut.

Haba throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Farrokhzad tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Haba is in Farrokhzad's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farrokhzad with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Farrokhzad throws a big elbow that misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Farrokhzad keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Haba's head.

Farrokhzad is in close to Haba's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Haba has his foot on Farrokhzad's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Farrokhzad works his way back into a safe position though.
Farrokhzad is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Farrokhzad arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Haba's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
