Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kurt Wagner!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wagner closes the distance and pushes Soldic back into the cage.

Soldic lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Wagner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Soldic circles away quickly and effectively.

Roberto Soldic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Wagner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Wagner has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Soldic connects with a solid leg kick.
Wagner lands with a kick to the ribs.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wagner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soldic sprawls well. Soldic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wagner gets slowly back to his feet.

Soldic looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Soldic uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wagner has time to react.

Soldic looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Soldic is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Wagner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Wagner is rocked!

It looks like Kurt Wagner has been cut.
Soldic lands a really nice looking cross but Wagner seems unphased.
Wagner is still on wobbly legs! Can Soldic finish him?
Soldic cracks Wagner with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wagner tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Soldic pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wagner is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roberto Soldic!
Our winner, Roberto Soldic, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
