Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Camacho (ranked 983 p4p, 1546 weight class) and Gwynn Evans (ranked 140 p4p, 223 weight class). Gwynn Evans told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans has taken the fight to the clinch.

Camacho decides to pull guard.

Camacho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evans gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Camacho has his hands on Evans's head, controlling the position.

Camacho is looking for a triangle but Evans pushes his legs off easily.

Camacho throws his legs up looking for a submission but Evans uses it to pass to side control.

Camacho tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Camacho has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Camacho is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Evans is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Camacho goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Evans has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Camacho but great work by Evans.

Camacho goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Evans turns into him and now he's in Camacho's guard.

Camacho looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Evans has picked Camacho up and slammed him! Camacho can't keep hold of the triangle and Evans manages to pass to side control!

Camacho is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Evans is defending well though. Camacho let's go of the attempt for now.

Camacho has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Evans has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Evans lands a head kick. Camacho smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Camacho uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Evans.
Camacho tries to counter by clinching up but Evans breaks away and moves out of range.

Evans lands a big head kick that sends Camacho tumbling to the mat! Evans takes a step backwards and waves Camacho back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
