Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Albatross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Calle Hogerstrom!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogerstrom bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Albatross's head.
Good shot there by Albatross.
Hogerstrom lands the left hand.
Albatross looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hogerstrom throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hogerstrom gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Calle Hogerstrom has been cut.
Hogerstrom throws a body punch but Albatross moves out of range.
Albatross is looking for a counter combo.
Hogerstrom has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Albatross.
Hogerstrom has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Nice shot lands for Hogerstrom.
Albatross connects with the punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Albatross throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hogerstrom looks to throw the jab but Albatross is out of range.
Hogerstrom moves out of range of the body kick.
Albatross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Albatross slips under a jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Albatross.
Hogerstrom throws out a leg kick but Albatross moves out of range and Hogerstrom only half commits.
Albatross quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Albatross lands a slapping body shot.
Albatross misses with a body kick.
Hogerstrom thows a left - swing and a miss!
Albatross was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Albatross takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Albatross's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hogerstrom connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Albatross scrambles back to his feet.
Albatross has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hogerstrom.
A combination from Albatross does no damage.
Hogerstrom misses with a left hand
and Albatross counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hogerstrom thinking.
Hogerstrom connects with a nice looking jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hogerstrom gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Albatross throws a head kick but Hogerstrom moves out of range.
Albatross looks to score with a jab to the body but Hogerstrom is just out of range.

Albatross sends Hogerstrom crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Albatross is motioning to the referee to let Hogerstrom up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hogerstrom is rocked!

That has opened up Calle Hogerstrom's cut even more.
Hogerstrom tries to clinch
and Albatross counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Hogerstrom off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Albatross follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Hogerstrom was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johnny Albatross!
