The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puno uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fusi.
Puno half committed to a counter leg kick.
Puno attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Puno throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Puno throws a hook to the side of Fusi's head but Fusi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Puno swings for the body but Fusi moves out of range.
Fusi has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Puno is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Puno throws a hook but Fusi blocks it.
Fusi tests Puno's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Puno with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fusi to score with a decent uppercut.
Puno does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fusi ducks right into an uppercut from Puno.

It looks like James Fusi has been cut.
Fusi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Puno.
Good work by Fusi as he checks the leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Puno.
Fusi thuds his right hand into Puno's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Puno sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Fusi's defenses. It connects perfectly with Fusi's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
