Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Connor Mac Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, LaTroy Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Burns, as that shot connected.
Johnson misses with a hook
and Burns counters with a stiff right hand.
Burns misses with a looping left.
Johnson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Burns sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A quick step to the side and Burns tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Burns lands a big uppercut and Johnson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Johnson looks OK. Burns waves Johnson back to his feet!

Johnson is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burns misses with a hook.
Johnson throws out a counter right but Burns avoids it with no problem.
Johnson throws a low kick but Burns avoids it.
Burns throws a counter high kick but Johnson was just alert enough to avoid it.

Burns closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Burns has Johnson pressed against the cage, preventing Johnson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Burns misses with an elbow strike.
Burns misses with a knee to the head.

A right handed body shot lands from Burns.
Johnson takes a knee right on the jaw!

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Burns jabs Johnson right on the nose. Johnson blinks but takes it well.
Burns throws an off balance right hand
and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns slips under a jab from Johnson.
Johnson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Johnson staying out of range there.
Burns moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Burns is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Burns.
Burns scores with a jab to the body.
Burns with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Johnson throws a lazy uppercut
and Burns counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Burns tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it.
Connor Mac Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns looks to throw the jab but Johnson is out of range.
Johnson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Burns.
Burns throws a lazy uppercut
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Burns gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Burns is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson tries to work over Burns's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Burns blocks a body shot from Johnson.
Johnson lands a shoulder strike.
Johnson tries to throw a body punch but Burns avoids it by throwing Johnson back against the cage.
Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johnson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Burns saw that one coming.
It looked like Burns wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Burns is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Burns swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Burns. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Burns lands a left and a right that send Johnson crashing to the mat, dazed. Burns thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Johnson counters with a flying knee that drops Burns! Johnson dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

In his post fight interview, LaTroy Johnson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
