Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mustang Jack (ranked 501 p4p, 295 weight class) and Damian Tonon (ranked 66 p4p, 38 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mustang Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damian Tonon!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack slips under a jab from Tonon.
Jack throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tonon slips under a jab.
Jack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tonon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jack.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tonon tries to pull guard but Jack holds him up against the cage and eventually Tonon drops back down to his feet.
Jack misses with some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bit of stalling here from Tonon.
Still in the clinch, Jack scores with a nice short uppercut.
Tonon blocking some punches.
Tonon will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jack up against the cage.

Jack lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tonon or not.
Tonon blocks an uppercut.

Tonon tightens his grip and picks Jack up, before dumping him to the ground. Jack manages to land in guard.
Jack bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tonon's guard.

Tonon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jack is aware though and is defending well.
Jack passes into half guard.
Tonon tries to get to full guard but Jack has control of the leg.

Jack perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jack continues to stall.
Tonon is looking to improve his position.
Tonon wants to control but Jack is keeping busy.
Jack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tonon on the ground.

Tonon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tonon is looking for a triangle here but Jack uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Tonon manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Tonon wants to improve his position but Jack is controlling well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jack in particular looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jack misses the shot to the body.
Jack bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tonon's head backwards.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tonon checks a leg kick.
Tonon tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Jack is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tonon can do to turn this around?
Tonon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jack pinned against the cage. Jack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mustang Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tonon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tonon somewhat.

and Tonon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tonon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jack defends it well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jack gets back to full guard.
Tonon slips nicely into half guard.
Tonon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tonon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jack knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Jack breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tonon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jack manages to avoid it.

Jack gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jack lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Jack breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Damian Tonon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tonon fails with an attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tonon or perhaps it was just good defense by Jack, which made it look bad.
Jack throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jack staying out of range there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tonon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jack.
Tonon looks for a takedown but Jack sprawls well.

and Jack counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Jack lands a jab.
Jack looks to throw the jab but Tonon is out of range.
Jack delivers a nice body kick.
Jack connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tonon momentarily.

Tonon has Jack up against the cage in a clinch.
Jack is leaning against Tonon and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Mustang Jack is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tonon tries to stall but Jack uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Jack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mustang Jack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jack closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tonon is looking to control Jack's arms but Jack gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tonon has his back to the cage.
Jack scores with a shot to the side of Tonon's head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tonon - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Tonon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mustang Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Tonon.
Jack lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tonon backwards.
Tonon is trying to pull guard but Jack turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jack is pressed up against the cage. Tonon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jack down to the mat. Jack avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tonon takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Tonon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jack, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
