Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Davdio Branko (ranked 496 p4p, 2589 weight class) and Charles Manson (ranked 32 p4p, 156 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Davdio Branko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Manson!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manson throws a body shot but no joy.

Branko has Manson up against the cage in a clinch.
Branko drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Manson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Manson manages to pull guard.
Manson keeping full guard, as Branko tries to pass.
Branko is working hard here to advance position.
Branko forces his way into half guard.
Manson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Branko is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manson is looking to improve his position.

Branko is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Branko is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Manson sees it coming and defends easily.
Branko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Branko is thwarting Manson's attempts to control the position.

Branko looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Manson wants to get back to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Manson is in trouble now - Branko has advanced to mount!

Branko is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Manson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Manson regains half guard.

Branko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Manson is just riding it out for now. Branko eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are battling for position here. Manson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Manson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Branko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Manson tries to buck Branko off but Branko is having none of it.
Branko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Branko goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Manson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Branko but great work by Manson.
Branko manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Branko is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Manson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Branko has gone for a leg lock! Manson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Branko's guard.


Branko is looking for a triangle but Manson pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Branko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Manson defends it easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Davdio Branko will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Nice takedown defense from Manson. No joy for Branko on that attempt.
Manson misses with a hook. Branko ducked under it nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Branko is defended easily by Manson.
Branko walks into a stiff left hand from Manson.
Manson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Branko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Manson tries to avoid it but Branko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Manson to the ground. Manson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davdio Branko. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Branko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Manson sprawls well. Manson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Branko gets slowly back to his feet.

Branko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Manson's guard.

Davdio Branko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Branko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Manson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Branko, into his guard.

Branko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Manson manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Manson is on top in guard.

Branko has his foot on Manson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Manson works his way back into a safe position though.

Charles Manson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Branko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Manson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Branko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Manson misses with an uppercut. Branko saw that one coming.
Branko tries to counter with a takedown but Manson is quick to defend against it.
Manson lands a body shot.
Manson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Manson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

A looping hook to the body misses from Manson. Branko does a little dance to reset his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Manson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Branko!

Branko has given up his back here. Will Manson look for the submission or keep pounding away?
My spies in ALPHA Performance Center inform me that Manson has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well Manson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
