With a record of 40 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Do Ho Joy!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caunt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Caunt lands a nice hook to Ho Joy's body. Ho Joy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Ho Joy throws a fast counter high kick but Caunt manages to duck under it in time.
Ho Joy has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ho Joy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dick Caunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ho Joy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Caunt lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Caunt moves out of range of the strikes.
Caunt went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Ho Joy might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Caunt has got the better of the exchanges.

Caunt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Ho Joy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Caunt finds it's way round the side to connect with Ho Joy's head.

A nice side step and Ho Joy releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Caunt fires out a quick counter leg kick but Ho Joy just manages to avoid it.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ho Joy! But no joy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Some bone on bone action there as Ho Joy checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Caunt works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ho Joy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Whack! Ho Joy lands a heavy head kick that drops Caunt. The ref tackles Ho Joy to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Caunt was done.

In his post fight interview, Do Ho Joy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
