Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javon Reese (ranked 2199 p4p, 2225 weight class) and Sovor Trandel (ranked 268 p4p, 269 weight class). Trandel has chosen Fuel and Fire - Bride as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Javon Reese! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Sovor Trandel! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reese has his takedown stuffed enabling Trandel to counter with a crisp jab. Trandel avoids the head kick by Reese.
Reese lands a front kick. Reese clinches up with Trandel and pushes him back against the cage. Reese landing knees to the body.
Trandel misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reese jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Trandel walks away with a smile on his face. Reese gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Trandel takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Sovor Trandel has been cut. Reese fails in his attempt to clinch. A nice side step and Trandel releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Reese drives through and clinches with Trandel against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trandel pushes Reese back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Trandel wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Trandel breaks the clinch.
Reese pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Trandel looks like he wants to counter punch here. Reese tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Trandel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Trandel swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Reese throws a sloppy head kick and Trandel moves out of range easily. Trandel looks like he wants to counter punch here. Reese is looking to clinch but Trandel is avoiding it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reese throws a head kick that misses. Trandel appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Reese thuds his shin into the meat of Trandel's side. Reese tries a head kick but it misses.

Reese connects with a high kick. Reese throws a body kick that misses. Trandel throws a counter combo. Reese throws the kick towards the body but Trandel avoids it. Reese looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Reese throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reese closes the distance and clinches. Trandel avoids the elbow strike from Reese, against the cage.
Reese tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Trandel gets through Reese's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Trandel throws a punch but it's blocked by Reese. Reese tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Trandel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reese tries to clinch up but Trandel circles away and keeps his distance. Trandel swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Reese throws a sloppy head kick and Trandel moves out of range easily. Trandel throws out a counter right but Reese avoids it with no problem. Reese has closed the distance and engaged Trandel in a clinch.

Reese looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Trandel passes Reese's left leg - he's now in half guard. Trandel is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reese sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reese has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Trandel is working away from the top position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Javon Reese dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sovor Trandel's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Reese tries to land a front kick but Trandel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Reese plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Reese has closed the distance and engaged Trandel in a clinch.
Reese jumps guard and drags Trandel to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Trandel advances to half guard. Trandel prevents Reese from improving his position. Trandel is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trandel is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reese is looking for a sweep. Trandel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Trandel is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Trandel is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Reese wants to improve his position but Trandel is controlling well.
Trandel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Reese is looking to control Trandel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reese avoid being mounted? Reese actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reese moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Reese is looking for a triangle but Trandel pushes his legs off easily.

Trandel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reese doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Trandel. Reese looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Trandel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reese is just riding it out for now. Trandel eventually gives up the hold. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Sovor Trandel will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Sovor Trandel's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Reese tries to clinch up. Reese is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Javon Reese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reese moves in looking to clinch but Trandel pushes him off. Trandel blocks a head kick by Reese.
Trandel let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Reese tries for a takedown but Trandel circles away easily and Trandel counters with a series of strikes. Reese will be more careful next time no doubt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reese misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reese throws the kick towards the body but Trandel avoids it. A left lands for Reese. Reese tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sovor Trandel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Reese throws a front kick aimed at Trandel's knee but Trandel avoids it well. Trandel takes a kick to the side of the head. Reese throws a predictable looking body shot
and Trandel counters with a nice right hand that sends Reese toppling to the canvas! Reese scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Trandel finish him?!

It looks like Javon Reese has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reese throws a sloppy head kick and Trandel moves out of range easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Trandel! But no joy. Reese tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trandel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trandel circles away from the clinch attempt.
Trandel doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Trandel keeps the fight on the outside. Reese wants to clinch and Trandel counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Reese falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
