The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkley scores with a hook to the body. Alaoui takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Alaoui closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Barkley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

As Barkley backs away, Alaoui returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
We've been informed that Barkley has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Alaoui clobbers Barkley with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
