Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Raczynski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Camble!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raczynski moves out of range of the strikes.
Camble on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Raczynski fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Camble on the side of the head.
Camble gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Raczynski counters with a nice body shot.
Raczynski lands with a nice body punch.
Raczynski scores with a crisp jab that stopped Camble in his tracks.

Camble fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

We've been told by Raczynski's head coaches at Eastern Queens MMA Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Camble with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Raczynski has Camble pulled in close to control his posture.
Camble won't allow Raczynski to sweep him here.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Camble dives in for a single leg takedown but Raczynski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Raczynski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cambles jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Camble tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Raczynski swivels and escapes.
Camble shoots for a takedown but Raczynski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Raczynski connects with a good right hand that stumbles Camble. Camble circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Camble takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Camble is defended easily by Raczynski.
Raczynski slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Raczynski is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Camble presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Raczynski is pressed up against the cage. Camble has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Raczynski down to the mat. Raczynski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Camble throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raczynski's waist but Raczynski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Camble off to one side.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Raczynski manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Camble keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Camble has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Raczynski avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Camble has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Raczynski after a bit of a struggle.

Raczynski swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Raczynski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Camble stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Raczynski.
Raczynski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Camble.
