Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conor The Barbarian (ranked 14 p4p, 58 weight class) and Ben Slam (ranked 2 p4p, 13 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slam clobbers The Barbarian with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Conor The Barbarian has been cut.
The Barbarian throws a big shot that misses.
Slam misses with a hook
and The Barbarian counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Ben Slam has been cut.
The Barbarian stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Slam.
That kick from Slam tenderised The Barbarian's leg. The Barbarian is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Slam counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Slam waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract The Barbarian.
As Slam backs away, The Barbarian returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

and The Barbarian counters with a three punch combo that has Slam backing up. Slam nods at The Barbarian to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ben Slam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Barbarian bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Slam throws a poor cross that misses
and The Barbarian counters with a nice uppercut.
That has opened up Ben Slam's cut even more.
A nice leg kick lands there from Slam.
The Barbarian on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Slam. Slam obviously looking to wear him down.
Slam ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The Barbarian slips a straight right by Slam.

and The Barbarian counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slam rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and The Barbarian counters with a nice right hand that sends Slam toppling to the canvas! Slam scrambles and gets back to his feet - can The Barbarian finish him?!
Slam is rocked!
Slam lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
We've been informed that Slam has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Slam looks to land a left hand but The Barbarian moved out of range nicely.
The Barbarian is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
The Barbarian cracks Slam with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. The Barbarian has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Slam to stand back up!
Slam is still on wobbly legs! Can The Barbarian finish him?
The cut above Ben Slam's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

and The Barbarian counters with a right hand from hell and Slam is out cold! A vicious knockout!

After winning the bout, Conor The Barbarian thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
