Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nasir Prince (ranked 1985 p4p, 2030 weight class) and Whealer Van Hire (ranked 210 p4p, 217 weight class). Prince kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nas- N.Y. State of Mind. Van Hire is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BMF. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Van Hire misses the target.
Prince clinches up with Van Hire and pushes him back against the cage.
Van Hire tries to work over Prince's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Prince lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Van Hire.
A head punch on the inside from Van Hire fails to land.
Prince has Van Hire pushed against the cage.

Van Hire looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Prince lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Prince tries to close the distance and clinch but Van Hire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Prince lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Van Hire throws a low kick but it's checked well by Prince.
Nasir Prince seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Prince fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Van Hire.
Prince moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Van Hire replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Prince blocks it well.
Prince rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Van Hire moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Prince takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Van Hire goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Prince tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Van Hire manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Van Hire unleashes a big counter combination but Prince bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Van Hire throws a body punch but Prince moves out of range.
Prince moves in looking to clinch but Van Hire pushes him off.
Prince's corner calls for a 1-2. Prince obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Prince pushes off an throws an elbow but Van Hire leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Van Hire lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Van Hire wants to get back to striking at distance but Prince won't allow it.

Van Hire lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

It looked like Prince was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Van Hire misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A little jabbing left from Van Hire on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Prince feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Van Hires jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Van Hire shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Prince looks to land a right hand but Van Hire moved out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Van Hire misses with a straight right.
Prince jabs at Van Hire's body.
Prince has Van Hire up against the cage in a clinch.
Prince misses with a hook from the clinch.
Prince blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Van Hire tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Prince's elbow.
Prince's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Prince swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Prince wants to clinch up but Van Hire keeps it at a distance.

Prince scores with a sloppy right hand. Van Hire should have avoided that one.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters circle, before Van Hire throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Prince's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Van Hire lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
