Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Barkley (ranked 741 p4p, 3622 weight class) and Darwin Zambrano (ranked 117 p4p, 477 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nick Barkley has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nick Barkley seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darwin Zambrano!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkley throws a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Zambrano lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Barkley throws a half hearted mid kick.

Barkley on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Barkley scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Darwin Zambrano has been cut.
A bone on bone clash there as Zambrano blocks the leg kick.
Zambrano is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Barkley with a body shot.

Zambrano gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Zambrano digs a right hand into Barkley's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Barkley's gas tank.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zambrano drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Barkley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Zambrano has Barkley in his guard.
Barkley would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Barkley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zambrano paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Zambrano throws a hook to the side of Barkley's head but Barkley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Zambrano counters with a nice low kick that buckles Barkley's knee momentarily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Zambrano on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Barkley. Barkley obviously looking to wear him down.
Barkley throws an overhand right that lands on Zambrano's shoulder, as Zambrano tries to avoid the shot.
Barkley wants to land a leg kick but Zambrano is out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Zambrano checks a leg kick.
Nick Barkley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barkley tries to bum rush Zambrano with a series of wild strikes but Zambrano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Barkley tries to clinch but Zambrano is having none of it.

That has opened up Darwin Zambrano's cut even more.
Barkley throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Zambrano counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Barkley misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Zambrano to counter with a crisp jab.
Barkley is rocked!
Barkley throws a leg kick
and Zambrano rattles Barkley with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Barkley tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Zambrano dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Barkley stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Darwin Zambrano!
A less than humble Darwin Zambrano misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
