Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hyatt Wayne (ranked 1087 p4p, 1535 weight class) and Dick Niaz (ranked 144 p4p, 199 weight class). Wayne comes into the arena with SOAD - Aerials blaring out of the sound system. Hyatt Wayne has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hyatt Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dick Niaz!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne misses with a wild combination.
Wayne rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Niaz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wayne's guard.

Niaz wants to control from the top but Wayne keeps moving.
Niaz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wayne looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wayne looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wayne!
Niaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wayne wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wayne wants to stand but Niaz has his arm trapped.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Niaz gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Wayne wants to stand but Niaz has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The fighters are battling for position here. Niaz manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Niaz trying to keep a closed guard but Wayne is proving a slippery customer.
Wayne wants to get up but he can't break Niaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Niaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wayne is aware though and is defending well.
Wayne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Niaz on the ground.
Niaz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Wayne frees his head nicely. Oh but Niaz has switched to an armbar! Wayne is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
