Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Kersikov (ranked 1425 p4p, 1511 weight class) and Mahmoud Hussein (ranked 192 p4p, 203 weight class). Kersikov comes into the arena with Head of the Table blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mahmoud Hussein!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Hussein.
Hussein swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kersikov looks for the body kick but Hussein saw that one coming.
Hussein moves away from the strike by Kersikov.
Hussein slips under a jab from Kersikov.
Hussein bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hussein replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kersikov blocks it well.
Kersikov connects with a single shot there.
Kersikov moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Hussein moves into the clinch.

It looks like Andrei Kersikov has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kersikov misses with some punches.

Hussein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hussein tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kersikov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kersikov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Andrei Kersikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kersikov throws a solid leg kick but Hussein takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kersikov.
Hussein fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hussein.
Kersikov throws a push kick but Hussein slaps the foot to one side.
Nice sprawl there from Kersikov as Hussein shoots in.
Andrei Kersikov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mahmoud Hussein.

Kersikov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Mahmoud Hussein has been cut.
Hussein fails to land the takedown.
Kersikov goes for a small jab and connects. Now Kersikov goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Hussein stumbles back but Kersikov runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Hussein to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Hussein will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
