PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Chang (ranked 1429 p4p, 1808 weight class) and Yamcha Wolf-Fang (ranked 190 p4p, 236 weight class). Wolf-Fang has chosen Rise Against - Give It All as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Chang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yamcha Wolf-Fang!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chang smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wolf-Fang throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wolf-Fang connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Chang's hands.
Chang staying out of range there.
Wolf-Fang misses with a hook. Chang ducked under it nicely.
Wolf-Fang throws a lazy right hand but Chang sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Chang counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wolf-Fang takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Chang throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wolf-Fang stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wolf-Fang takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Chang tries to clinch up but Wolf-Fang circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chang looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wolf-Fang steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chang.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chang cracks Wolf-Fang with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Chang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wolf-Fang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wolf-Fang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruce Chang will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
