Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Michael Collins (ranked 4427 p4p, 1435 weight class) and Daniel Mendoza (ranked 398 p4p, 157 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 28 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Mendoza!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendoza will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Collins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mendoza on the side of the head.
Mendoza moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Collins lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mendoza backs up against the ropes.
Mendoza has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Collins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Collins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Collins throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Collins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Mendoza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mendoza throws a body shot but no joy.
A telegraphed right hand from Collins misses the target.
Collins misses with a leg kick
and Mendoza counters with a straight right hand.
Collins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Collins stalks Mendoza and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mendoza's face. Mendoza staggers backwards, shaken.
Collins looks to land a left hand but Mendoza moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mendoza throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Michael Collins has been cut.
Nice shot lands for Mendoza.
Mendoza throws a shot from downtown. Collins moves away and avoids it.
Mendoza misses the shot to the body.
Collins falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Mendoza to counter with a crisp jab.
Collins rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mendoza cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Collins is rocked!

and Mendoza counters with a nice body shot.
Oh Collins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mendoza lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Collins at a distance.
Mendoza scores with a jab to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Collins walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Daniel Mendoza!
An out of breath Daniel Mendoza thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
