Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Choke (ranked 255 p4p, 187 weight class) and Baldur Torsten (ranked 40 p4p, 32 weight class). Torsten has chosen Temple of Odin as his entrance music. Baldur Torsten has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with David Choke's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Baldur Torsten!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choke dives in for a single leg takedown but Torsten sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Torsten tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Choke's elbow.
Torsten lands a body punch in the clinch.
Choke tries to pull guard but Torsten holds him up against the cage and eventually Choke drops back down to his feet.
Torsten scores with a shot to the side of Choke's head.
A right hook to the body lands for Torsten.
Torsten lands a shoulder strike.
We've been informed that Torsten has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Choke shoots in for a takedown but Torsten shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Torsten bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Choke's head.

Torsten tries to land a front kick but Choke steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Torsten misses with a hook. Choke ducked under it nicely.

Choke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Torsten.
As Torsten backs away, Choke returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Torsten is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Torsten manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Choke manages to get himself to full guard.

David Choke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torsten not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Torsten advances to half guard.
Torsten really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Choke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Choke is looking for a sweep. Torsten is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Choke is desperately trying to improve his position but Torsten has a good base and remains in mount.

Torsten lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Baldur Torsten is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Torsten has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
