Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mantak Garuda (ranked 123 p4p, 152 weight class) and Valentin Taneyev (ranked 22 p4p, 26 weight class). Garuda comes to the cage accompanied by Djiin Djiin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Valentin Taneyev!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Taneyev!
It looks like Mantak Garuda has been cut.
Garuda moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Taneyev throws a right hand that misses
enabling Garuda to counter with a crisp jab.
Garuda has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Slaughter Houze in the buildup to the fight.
Taneyev throws a lazy head kick
and Garuda counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Taneyev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Taneyev fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Taneyev lands a brutal head kick. Garuda looks out on his feet and Taneyev throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Valentin Taneyev!
