Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Torhte Finlayson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, David Scott!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finlayson just misses with a punch to the body.
Scott looks to land a right hand but Finlayson moved out of range.
Finlayson throws a lazy right hand but Scott sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Scott! But no joy.
A telegraphed right hand from Finlayson misses the target.
Scott fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Finlayson catches Scott with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Scott lands with a straight right. Finlayson didn't see that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scott fails with the takedown
and Finlayson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Finlayson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Scott! Finlayson lets Scott back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like David Scott has been cut.

Scott moves out of range of the strikes.
It seemed like Scott was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Finlayson misses with a looping left.
Scott throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A big left from Finlayson misses.
Scott on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Scott slips under a jab.
Finlayson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Scott.
Scott slips a jab from Finlayson.
Scott throws out a counter right but Finlayson avoids it with no problem.
Scott moves to clinch but Finlayson breaks away
and Finlayson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Finlayson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Scott takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Scott throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Finlayson lands a jab to Scott's midsection.
Finlayson lands a right hook to the body.
Torhte Finlayson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Finlayson throws a hook but Scott blocks it.
Finlayson throws a big shot that misses.
Finlayson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Scott.
We've been told by Finlayson's head coaches at Fist of Fury Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Scott clinches with his opponent.
Finlayson misses with a body punch.
Finlayson misses with a punch to the body.
Finlayson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Scott or not.
Scott is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Finlayson to keep the fight standing.
Torhte Finlayson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Scott.
Finlayson lands a right hand.
Scott is trying to pull guard but Finlayson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Finlayson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Finlayson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Scott backwards.
Finlayson lands a nice uppercut.
Finlayson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Scott's elbow.
Scott jumps guard but Finlayson stands there with Scott around his waist. Scott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Scott manages to pull guard.
Scott working a defensive guard but Finlayson passes into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Scott wants to control but Finlayson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Finlayson wants to pass the guard but Scott is defending well.
Scott is in trouble now - Finlayson has advanced to mount!
Finlayson controlling the pace for now.
Scott is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Scott is desperately trying to improve his position but Finlayson has a good base and remains in mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Torhte Finlayson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on David Scott's cut.
That's time! Finlayson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Scott takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Finlayson scores with the left hand. Scott knows he should have avoided that one.
Finlayson looks to land a left hand but Scott moved out of range nicely.
Finlayson misses with a body shot.
Scott tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Finlayson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Scott moves out of range of the strikes.
Scott avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Finlayson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Finlayson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Scott misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Finlayson to counter with a crisp jab.
Scott throws out a powerful jab.
Finlayson scores with a jab to the body.
Scott throws out a loose jab but Finlayson uses good head movement to avoid it.
A lazy left from Finlayson finds it's target.

Finlayson cracks Scott with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Finlayson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Scott to stand back up!

Scott is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott ducks under a wild hook from Finlayson.
Finlayson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Scott is still on wobbly legs! Can Finlayson finish him?
Finlayson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Scott can do to turn this around?
Scott throws an off balance right hand
and Finlayson rattles Scott with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Scott tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Finlayson dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Scott stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Torhte Finlayson!

A very excited looking Torhte Finlayson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
