Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janne Korpela (ranked 6403 p4p, 3974 weight class) and Norman Boma (ranked 683 p4p, 504 weight class). Boma has chosen 4 Minute - Hot Issue as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Norman Boma will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Korpela with that takedown attempt.
Boma only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Korpela drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boma looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boma looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boma!

Boma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Korpela. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters circle momentarily. Korpela darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Boma uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Korpela has time to react.

Boma has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Boma drops Korpela with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Korpela looks back up at him and smiles so Boma waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
