Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Zhdanov (ranked 1172 p4p, 1257 weight class) and Hassan Fezzik (ranked 160 p4p, 175 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Zhdanov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hassan Fezzik!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Zhdanov - just one landing.
The fighters circling - Zhdanov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zhdanov jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zhdanov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fezzik manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zhdanov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fezzik. That did some damage!
Fezzik takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Hassan Fezzik has been cut.
Zhdanov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blacktalians MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Zhdanov throws out a powerful jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slow jab from Zhdanov misses its intended target.
Fezzik misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zhdanov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zhdanov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Fezzik swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Zhdanov's corner calls for a 1-2. Zhdanov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A head kick misses from Fezzik.
Roman Zhdanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zhdanov lands a big head kick that sends Fezzik tumbling to the mat! Zhdanov takes a step backwards and waves Fezzik back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fezzik explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fezzik missing with a left hand there. Zhdanov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Zhdanov throws a lazy right hand but Fezzik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fezzik lands a big head kick that sends Zhdanov tumbling to the mat! Fezzik takes a step backwards and waves Zhdanov back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Zhdanov is rocked!
It looks like Roman Zhdanov has been cut.
Fezzik is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Zhdanov flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Zhdanov is out cold! Fezzik holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hassan Fezzik!
