Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Faulk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faulk avoids the head kick by Kersikov.
Faulk needs to keep his hands up - Kersikov had a free shot at his head there.
Kersikov misses with a hook
and Faulk counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Faulk thumps Kersikov with a low kick.
Andrei Kersikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kersikov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kersikov looks to land a left hand but Faulk moved out of range nicely.
Faulk takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kersikov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kersikov sends Faulk crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kersikov is motioning to the referee to let Faulk up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kersikov throws an overhand right that drops Faulk like a sack of potatoes! Kersikov dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrei Kersikov!
After winning the bout, Andrei Kersikov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
