The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McPenicillan gets caught flat footed, as Andrews shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. McPenicillan seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Andrews pushes down on McPenicillan's leg and manages to get into half guard. Andrews seems to be working for a kimura but McPenicillan defends the submission attempt. Herpes McPenicillan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Andrews. A short left from McPenicillan.
That's one minute gone in the round. McPenicillan tries to land knees in the clinch but Andrews avoids the damage to the body. McPenicillan lands a damaging elbow. Andrews takes an elbow to the temple. Andrews avoiding damage as McPenicillan throws knees to the body.

The cut above Gordon Andrews's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Andrews tries to pull guard but McPenicillan holds him up against the cage and eventually Andrews drops back down to his feet.

Gordon Andrews's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McPenicillan lands a huge punch on the inside that knocks Andrews senseless! Wow, what a way to end the fight!
