Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Raymond King!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bonney gets caught napping as King dives in and scores a takedown. Bonney manages to retain guard.

Bonney is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Bonney lands a left hand that snaps the head of King backwards.
King has Bonney pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bonney manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bonney misses with a short punch on the inside.
King pushes Bonney back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

King blocks a punch to the side of the head.

King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

King doesn't manage to clinch there - Bonney circles away.

Bonney loads up on a big right hand but King slips the punch.
King tries to counter by closing the distance.

Bonney throws the left hand but King avoids the punch easily.

King closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

King's coach down at London MMA Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on King's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
King avoids the body shot from Bonney.
William H Bonney is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
King moves out of range of the strikes.
Bonney misses with a looping right.
King lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
King uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bonney.

Bonney lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Raymond King has been cut.
Bonney darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
King walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Bonney swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). William H Bonney!
A relieved looking William H Bonney thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
